Voice Generation: ElevenLabs was used to produce a custom AI voiceover with a cold, factual tone that fit the documentary’s mood.
AI Avatar Presentation: Synthesia provided an on-screen avatar to deliver parts of the narration, enabling consistent visual delivery without live filming.
Video Scene Creation: Veo 3 was used to generate stylised recreations and atmospheric clips via prompt based video generation, avoiding reliance on copyrighted material.
Static Image Design: ChatGPT tools were used to generate supporting images and backgrounds in line with the true crime aesthetic.
Prompt Engineering: Prompts were refined to control visual tone, pacing, and thematic consistency across platforms.
Post-Production (Manual): All editing, motion graphics, music, and sound design were created and mixed manually on Final Cut Pro to elevate the AI-generated assets and give the final piece cohesion and polish.
Final Output: A 3 minute AI supported video essay built for social media. This prototype demonstrates how AI tools can accelerate production, while retaining creative oversight and quality through manual post.

Video Generation: Veo 3 and Midjourney were used to create short clips simulating sequences from the cancelled film, based on descriptive prompts of Zemeckis’s planned performance capture style and 3D environments.
Image Creation: Still frames and concept art were created using ChatGPT image capabilities, referencing period accurate designs and imagined sequences .
Prompt Crafting: All visuals were built using carefully structured prompts tailored to match the tone, detail, and design aesthetic of the development work by Image Movers Digital.
Creative Execution: editing, motion graphics, music choices, and sound FX were done by me. The result is a video that not only analyses what might have been but uses AI to visualise the alternate future of Yellow Submarine in a way no archival footage could.
